Never Again?

"How do we ensure that 'never again' isn't an empty slogan, or merely an aspiration, but also a call to action? I believe we start by bearing witness, by fighting the silence that is evil's greatest co-conspirator."
US President Barak Obama at the 2009 Holocaust memorial ceremony in the Capital Rotunda.

Three years have past since I created this artwork. Unfortunately, the world continues to do little to stop Iran’s plans to execute a second Holocaust.

Do not remain silent! Disseminate this work of webart widely so that it reaches out across our networked planet screaming, “Never Again!”
TEHRAN, 28 Sept. 2008 (Der Spiegel). A senior German diplomat attended a military parade in Iran despite the European Union's decision to boycott the event. The keynote speaker at the event was Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and the parade featured a sign saying “Israel Should be Erased From the World.”

TEHRAN, 20 Feb. 2008 (AFP). President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called Israel a "dirty microbe" and "savage animal" as Iran stepped up its rhetoric against the Jewish state.

TEHRAN, 18 Feb. 2008 (AFP). Iran's Revolutionary Guards on Monday predicted that Israel would be destroyed by the Lebanese Shiite militant group Hezbollah in the "near future", the Fars news agency reported. "In the near future, we will witness the destruction of Israel, this cancerous microbe Israel, at the able hands of the soldiers of the community of Hezbollah," the head of the Revolutionary Guards, Mohammad Ali Jafari, said.

Hi Mel. It is a shame that the only way to prove how right you are is to do nothing and wait for Iran to get a nuclear bomb and/or for Iran (through its proxies) to destroy or permanently disable Israel. In the US our major focus should be energy independence from petroleum. Perhaps a progam should be started like the one that created the atomic bomb but to create a new form of energy that can be adapted to, and in stages integrated into our present technology so cars and factories can change to this in steps if need be. The US government has the money (or access to it) and the scientific talent is available so that the only thing stopping this project is the lack of will to do so. And, it will take an unfortunate incident to wake up the oil addicted Americans and the complacent Europeans.
